Cathy Riso is a woman whose life has been dramatically transformed by her commitment to Jesus Christ! Like many of us, she has observed the recent high toll taken by our society on women and the time-honored proven values of the Christian faith. Cathy's ministry focus is one of encouragement, offering direction and instruction through her music and teaching. Her goal always is to ignite faith within her audience and challenge women, couples and families to depend upon the Lord, His Word and His ways!
Cathy's professional life has gone the gamut from theatrical performances to touring work with such notables as Julio Iglesias and Placido Domingo. Her numerous studio recording credits, including singing on such movies as The Preacher's Wife, Jungle 2 Jungle, and Disney's latest animated release, Mulan. She also served as co-worship leader with her husband, Rick, on the Hosanna Integrity recording, “As For My House,” and has been featured as a soloist as well as background vocalist on Integrity's Scripture Memory Songs series, also the highly acclaimed project, “Shalom Jerusalem” and their Spanish Hosanna Praise recordings! Cathy recently served as the Women's Worship Leader at The Church on the Way, under gifted teacher and pastor, Jack Hayford and has enjoyed the new insights the Lord has given her through this experience. She is ministering with increasing demand as a conference singer/speaker, including recent ministry for the Southern California District's Four-Square Women's Retreats.
Cathy's concern is to communicate the love of the Lord not only in her music but through her life, and to convey His Love to all she comes in contact with. It is evident from the first time one hears Cathy Riso, whatever the setting, her desire is for people to discover God's grace found in Jesus Christ and to know the joy and honor of serving Him! Cathy's “full-time” ministry is to her husband, Rick, and their children, Francesca, Domenico and Isabella.
