With musical ministry experience that spans nearly three decades and concert performances around the world, Rick Riso is a man whose unique calling of Jesus Christ on his life is unmistakable. He offers a fresh and vibrant communication of God's principles for a healthy, balanced Christian lifestyle. Having become increasingly aware of todays tendencies in society to challenge Christian manhood, as well as a godly man's identity within his marriage and family, Rick makes it a priority in his musical and speaking engagements to encourage believers of all ages to trust God on every level of their Christian walk.
Rick for years has been established as a studio singer in Los Angeles and is recognized for his vocal work on movies such as The Lion King, The Preacher's Wife, Jungle 2 Jungle, Nixon and Rocketman. In addition, he is the lead voice on national television and radio commercials for Albertsons grocery stores, Nokia, Shakey's Pizza, Burger King and Levi's “Nice Pants” dockers, to name a few.
Recently Rick's featured recording credits include work on recent Promise Keepers' recordings, “Break Down The Walls” and “Raise The Standard” on which he performs both as a soloist and as a background singer. He was also selected as a featured soloist at Promise Keepers' events held in Boise, Idaho and the Los Angeles Coliseum. Very close to Rick's heart is the Integrity Music Hosanna recording project entitled “As For My House” which features he and his wife Cathy as co-worship leaders. This recording designed to strengthen couples and families in praise and worship around the themes of thanksgiving, forgiveness, etc., has been released to over 80 countries worldwide.
Having been a committed Christian since 1968, Rick has made quality in his musical ministry a top priority which is obvious to all who listen. It is evident from the first time one encounters Rick Riso, that whatever setting he is in, his concern is for people to come to know the love of God found in Jesus Christ and discover the joy and honor of serving Him.
Rick lives in Los Angeles with his wife Cathy and their children, Francesca, Domenico and Isabella.
